We’ve been checking out Graduate Collections lately, and one which really caught our eye was the young Bram Van Diepen, 21, a student from the International Fashion & Design Program at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute.
Inspired by 1940s army garb, and American sportswear — Van Diepen‘s strong Collection has been receiving praise from fashion bloggers around the globe, and with good reason.
His designs are original, and his aesthetic fresh — speaking to a man who is unafraid to make a statement — without the need to stomp his feet. “I try to find balance between fantasy and men’s reality, between what I want and what others want without compromising my own esthetic,” Van Diepen recently explained to laststyleofdefense.com. ”I aim for high fashion designs with an outspoken, fun touch.”
Van Diepen says he plans to take a year or two off, before continuing his way to an MA. Definitely a name to watch for!
