Review: eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm & Everyday Hand Lotion
If you’re anything like me, you probably own half a dozen lip balms (at least). It’s one personal item I seem to have no problem impulsively scooping up, and you usually won’t ever find me out of the house with my balm and hand lotion; it’s sort of become second nature. But how many of your lip balms have a cult-like celebrity following? How many of them make you smile? Thought so.
For the last few weeks I have had the pleasure of trying out some products from American company eos, who you’ll likely recognize for their very unique packaging.聽It’s still fairly unknown here in the West Coast, with a limited selection of their line available — and I’ve been curious about them for some time. eos stands for “evolution of smooth,” and after trying their lovely stand-out collection, I’d have to agree… eos is the epitome of聽intelligent聽design, and quality product — neither of which has been sacrificed here.
eos is much more than good looks — their products are actually pretty fantastic, especially given their low price-tag. Their Smooth Sphere Lip Balm features a luxurious formulation made of shea聽butter, jojoba oil and vitamin e, meaning it’s smooth and slick — never leaving your lips feeling coated or waxy. What’s more, the stuff is聽95% organic, 100% natural, and paraben and petrolatum free — which is refreshing for a drug-store product.
The super compact Everyday Hand Lotion聽from eos is also a total winner.聽Infused with shea butter, aloe and oat extract, and packed with antioxidants and vitamins C and E — this stuff smells and feels great on your skin. It’s light weight, non-greasy, and really absorbant. If you work with your hands, or frequently wash them — this product would be great for you. It’s dermatologist tested and hypoallergenic too, so it’s ideal for frequent use. I tried the basic formula, as well as the cucumber, with the latter being my favorite. The smell is so divine, I had numerous co-workers asking me what I was using and where to buy it.
The bottom line? eos products are definitely worth a try. They look cool, work incredibly well, and are priced right. I’ve been using my 44ml hand lotion nearly everyday for a month, and there’s still tons left — so it really does go a long way.聽If nothing else, you’ll have all your co-workers and friends attention, as these babies are instant conversation starters.聽One word of caution, though — you may want to keep these out of reach of your pets, as my dog seemed to think these were treats! I caught him licking the package more than once, and given how delicious they smell –聽I can’t really blame him. They’re almost good enough to eat.
