One of my favorite menswear brands, WHIZ LIMITED,聽presented a smart and highly wearable Fall/Winter 2012 Collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week TOKYO.
Hiroaki Shitano in Tokyo established WHIZ LIMITED with the publication of the Autumn/ Winter collection 2000. In spite of the basic mainstream on the street scene, he displayed the brand concept of “Individual clothing” to propose a design conscious fashion, and has since been constructing a Tokyo street outlook which has gotten over the stereotyped image of the street look and mode.聽

The samurai聽have served as inspiration聽for the Autumn/ Winter 2012-2013 Collection from Portugese brand SAYMYNAME, who opened MODALISBOA Freedom, aka Lisbon Fashion Week.
Designer Catarina Sequeira summoned the spirit of a Japanese warrior to create a collection that evoked strength and protection. Some design elements of ancient Japanese armor were in the silhouettes. Oversized shapes emphasized large shoulders and kimono wraps that were covered in armor details, and skirts that ended with embellishments. SAYMYNAME label used new technology fabrics: felt,nylon, ribbed knits, fringe and cooper surfaced jersey. The colors where predominately cooper, ocher ,black and lavender.
